Chronology of cameras Asaflex
The brand Asaflex was registered on March 15, 1977, and renewed in February 1987, by the Compagnie de Diffusion Internationale et Commerciale (S.A). It was re-registered in February 1988, again for photographic equipment.
Subsequently, the "Gorthex Group" (located at 140 rue de la Pompe, 75016 Paris) simultaneously filed for the trademarks Asaflex and Gorthex on January 23, 1997.
This 110 camera is bifocal. A slider located on top of the camera allows switching from normal mode, corresponding to a focal length of 25 mm, to Tele mode, corresponding to 43 mm. Moving the slider from normal to Tele positions an auxiliary lens in front of the main lens. At the same time, a mask is inserted into the viewfinder. This only reduces the field of view without changing the magnification factor of the viewfinder.
On the top of the camera, there is another small slider to indicate the film sensitivity: 100 or 400 ASA. It is likely that sliding it moves a plate with a hole behind the lens, acting as a diaphragm.
